Khichuri is a popular food in Bangladesh.
Making this dish is very easy. In rainy days people of Bangladesh likes to eat it very much.
@ Ingredients(for 2 people)
Rice 1 cup Garlic pest (chopped also ok)
Mosur Daal (Lentils) 1/2 cup Turmeric powder
Mung Daal 1/2 cup Red chilli powder ... according to taste
Vegetables Salt ...according to taste
1 medium sized onion (chopped) Elachi (Clove)
Ginger pest (chopped also ok) Cooking oil
@How to make
1,Take rice, Mosur daal and Mung daal in a rice cooker. Wash the mixture and drain out excess water. Khichuri
2,Add 1 cup of fresh or previously-frozen mixed vegetable pieces (broccoli, cauliflower, potato, carrot, corn etc.).
3,Heat two tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan over a medium high flame. When hot, put the chopped onion, ginger pest and garlic pest. Stir and fry them for 2/3 minute and add it with the rice mixture.
4,Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, red chilli powder and 5 pieces of Clove.
5,Add 2 tablespoons of your favorite cooking oil and stir well for a very good dry mixture.
6,Now, add 4 (four) cups of warm water, put the lid on the cooker and turn it on.
7,That's it .... Your Khichuri will be done and will keep warm for you, whenever you want to eat .... You don't have to stand alert while cooking.
